@Kyler: Have to mind the heat levels if you're using classic thrusters or thermal turbine coils though.
@Ed: That typically doesn't happen. If you are getting so tired that you might pass out then you are probably not flying.

@Kyler: But then again, wings can be used as heatsinks for these kind of jetpacks :V There's more use for fancy fins and such when they pull heat from the thrusters.

Actually, you know, now that you mention it, Rarity must have pretty strong legs to land a blow hard enough to stun someone in midair. Usually you need a solid stance on the ground so that the force of your punch/kick/whatever goes into pummeling the other guy, as opposed to launching you backward.
