Because when Quote and I fought Miakid, he cast a magic attack that cursed our Nemesises. So when I woke up in a cave and couldn't remember anything, I had no idea why the biggest gun I had could only shoot rubber ducks! Then Jenka recognized the curse and offered to remove it for me. Then I met Quote, so I wasn't able to visit Jenka again to get the gun until after Quote gave me that mushroom.

The Nemesis is standard issue for special agents on any assignment with a high chance of encountering magic users.

He's just a bit shy around people he doesn't know very well. I like to tease him about how much he's like Big Macintosh! Eeeyup.

He has a new favorite every single episode. Sometimes every single scene.

I guess the draining vent was built in an awkward place on your chassis then. You'd think they give you microwave-friendly silica gel cartridges to deal with internal moisture, or at least waterproof your electronics.

Curly Brace is one of the major characters in Cave Story. At one point she gets waterlogged and you have to drain her, in the Guide Dang It Route.

To quote Twilight (I think) "I don't get it".

Limitations of current technology. You can have a shell that passes for human, or one that's waterproof, but not both. Normally, we're issued water shields that make it a moot point.

I'd like to go back there to check up on the Colons every week. But Quote is convinced that the island itself is... alive, somehow. And that it hated us, and still does. He'd rather never see the island again, and he doesn't trust it to let me go visit alone. So we compromise and visit once or twice a year.

@Curly: maybe there's a consciousness that resents your attack on the island's core.
