Well, aside from singing, Pinkie Pie is the only one of them to have displayed any musical talent, so I can't really see them forming a band to begin with.
Suppose that they have to form a band and win a music competition, otherwise Ponyville will be destroyed by enraged hamsters or whatever.

No, they are controlled by ancient pony musicians. See, shortly after the foundation of Ponyville, a band came there for the celebration and got Produce Pelted by Applejack's ancestors. One of these musicians was a relative of Starswirl the Bearded, and stole from his hoard a magic flute that controls hamsters. But the hoard was cursed, so the musicians (and the flute) were trapped in a magical gem until Spike ate it, freeing the evil musicians and allowing them to complete their dastardly plan.
Ponyville's only chance is for the Elements of Harmony to show these musicians that modern Ponyville does have an appreciation for music, thus soothing their thirst for vengeance.

Alright I've got a few questions:
1. Is anyone else having a problem with Derpibooru? Evert time I load an image page everything will be fine for about a second, the image starts to load up, then the screen abrubtly goes white and the loading icon comes up never to leave.
2. Has anyone seen the Hub's new Care Bears show? Is it anywhere close to the level of Friendship is Magic or is it typical kiddie fare?
3. Has anyone else played Bungie's Marathon franchise? I ask because they are making a new Marathon game and PaulMcCartneyis writing music for them. (These two facts may be unrelated.)

I guess Marathon's a spiritual predecessor to Halo. Don't know much about either franchise. Derpibooru's working fine for me.

Characters in Homestuck ascend through power levels called tiers, with the highest tiers being called "god tiers, " which are only accessible through special circumstances but grant some awesome powers and a neat outfit. RD here is wearing the god tier getup of a character named Vriska◊, who is a self-absorbed troll girl that likes action and adventure.
Funny thing, Vriska's class (Thief of Light) probably isn't as good a fit for RD as another god tier player's class, Heir of Breath, which grants wind powers. I'm not exactly sure what Thief of Light entails, but personality-wise Vriska is definitely the closer match.
